STYLE GUIDE | ISSUE 02
The wonderful thing about style inspiration is that it can come from anywhere. Whether from the fashionistas we follow on social media or designers both local and international. But style is more than copycat looks, so make it your own!
I love the Scandinavian look, it’s very basic but there is something really cool about it. I’m inspired by brands such as Tiny Cottons, Zara, Bebe Organic and Mango Kids. I don’t look at any celebrities or anyone in particular. I just do my own thing, I love styling everything myself. I follow lots of small brands on Instagram which help me get ideas.
I love how Courtney Adamo of Babyccino kids dresses her five children. It’s a timeless laid-back style with a strong element of comfort (which I’m a big fan of!). They all look so relaxed and well put together as a family.
My son is a bit young to have a style icon but he does like wearing a baseball cap just like his Papa! My daughter is definitely a bit more quirky. She doesn't like Little Mix anymore because she can’t understand why they mostly only wear pants! She's more into Katy Perry and Manga cartoon style, she loves key rings, emojis and bright colours and would love to be one of the confetti crowd'
In this digital world- there is no shortage of inspiration online! Look to fellow mums and dads, and also be sure to follow your favourite brands. New launches, colour palettes and releases tend to hit social first!
But most importantly let your kids inspire you- as you undoubtedly inspire them.
I'm not sure I have a specific person but I look to Instagram for lots of inspiration about how people are dressing their kids and themselves.
